Since 1909, my family has been growing and shipping potatoes on the fresh market. All of my summers were spent on the family farm doing every job imaginable. Just think "Dirty Jobs: Potato Edition". I learned hard work, how to run a business, spent more time than I can calculate in a John Deere tractor and picked up enough Spanish to be dangerous.

I am constantly on the hunt for the best, local restaurants + food trucks. I even keep a running list by category. After growing up in Texas and living in North Carolina for a short time, I tend to gravitate towards tacos, BBQ, steaks and southern cuisine. I live by two rules: a Mexican food joint is only as good as its queso and when given the choice, always add bacon.
